Our Salvation, Our Foundation - Eph. 1:1-14

"...to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory." (Eph. 1:12)

We exist for the praise of God's glory! This first section of Ephesians is all about God's glory and what causes His glory to be praised. What is it? Us! Our salvation is supposed to point to God's magnificent glory. Why? Because when Adam and Eve sinned it looked like we would be separated from Him for all time. He couldn't walk with Adam and Eve anymore, but He has orchestrated everything so that He can again be with His people for the praise of His glory. Not only can He walk with His people once again, He has made us His dwelling place!

The Walking Dead - Eph 2:1-10
"But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5

Without Prejudice - Eph 2:11-22

"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility..." Ephesians 2:14

All Together Now - Eph 3:1-12

"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms..." Ephesians 3:10

All You Need Is Love - Eph. 3:13-21

"And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17b-19

Serving for Unity - Eph 4:7-16

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..." Ephesians 4:11-12

Old & New - Eph 4:17-32

"...to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." Ephesians 4:22b-24

Dark & Light - Eph 5:1-14

"Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:1-2
